It’s really all they got.

You hear it quite often in the illegal immigration debate, “bigot”, “fascist”,  “mid aged racist white guy”, actually, I am mid aged and white, and am tired of hearing it because that is not the way it is.

It’s like this;

How would you like it if someone came to your house, came right in (via the back door) and demanded food, a shower, a bed, and some money to help out. Yes, that would be crazy and you would not allow it.

And no, I am not against charity, but demanding something of someone else is not a charitable situation.

If I came home one day to find an inch of water throughout my house, what would I do first? Fix the cabinets and replace the carpet? No, I would shut the water main to the house off FIRST or the offending valve. [Read the rest of this entry...]

It has been years, honestly, that I sat in civics class in my senior year of high school, blessed with a teacher (I did not fully appreciate it at the time) that wanted to impress upon us the importance of the way of government and it’s founding documents that were presented to us and formed to preserve the young nation and personal liberties of it’s citizens and states.

That was not my objective at the time, nor did I embrace it’s purpose and importance at that time in my life, I just needed to pass Civics to graduate from high school. Yet I look back and appreciate that class very much.

It was post Vietnam era and I managed to get out of the draft as it was discontinued a year or so before I graduated, whew! I missed that one, but all of us guys grew up watching the nightly news of that mismanaged war and looked at Life magazines and wanted no part of it, there were those from our school that did not come back. We were scared we would get drafted and end up in a jungle in Vietnam.

The  anti-war attitude at that time was so negative to say the least, and as much as I was fearful of being drafted, I knew that if my number was called I would go. For all you liberty loving, US of  A  Americans, do you really want to see our country sink into a totalitarian government run state? This is what will happen if this vote and passage of the health care bill goes through.

The IRS will be the chief collector and enforcers of the new Health Care program proposed by Obama and company, ie Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Some 10 billion in the health care bill will be designated for 17,000 more IRS employees to enforce this tyrannical type of government oppression in the name of the downtrodden to make sure the population is in compliance with government approved health care.

They really do not care how it affects the little guy, they just want to be the hero of the so called ‘underprivileged’ and of themselves. That is the only explanation that I can come up with as to why ANYBODY would want to force this upon an electorate that overwhelmingly rejects this massive socialist program. You would think by now that Barack H. Obama would take a little break from his travels, and give the teleprompters a well deserved rest, but no, the chance to really stick that change thing to the American people, is an opportunity that cannot be missed.

For some delusional  reason he seems to think that this health care plan is really going to help this country, can’t see how this can be if it is going to throw us into a debt that we may never recover from.

Aside from the debt, the scarier part is the total disregard for the majority of the American people and the United States Constitution, which he swore to uphold, but I digress (I always wanted to say that).

Obama’s version of the Constitution;

In his March 15 campaign stop in Ohio, a person in the audience shouted “we need courage!”  “We need courage,” Obama shouted back, to applause from the crowd. “Did you hear what somebody just said? That’s what we need. That’s why I came here today. We need courage.”

Well Mr. President, yes, courage itself is a good thing, but not at the expense of overriding the Constitution, or the will of the people and for sure not to pass something in order to make sure you and your gang of socialist look good. When are you going to have the balls to admit that you are pushing too hard and this is bad for our country.

Some Obama quotes from Monday;

“It’s about a woman who’s lying in a hospital bed who just wants to be able to pay for the care she needs”.

This woman you speak of is in that hospital bed is getting the care needed, there are already sources in place to help people like this, with a little help and even at a fraction of the cost of your health care bill, there probably is a way to help her financially.

“You know, in the end, this debate is about far more than politics,” the president told the Ohio crowd. “It comes down to what kind of country do we want to be”.

If this is part of your change thing, we don’t want it! Our country can do well enough as it is and our government is too big, and is in too many areas of our lives as it is already. There are smaller incremental ways to address present health care issues, which you have ignored.

“It’s been such a long time since we made government on the side of ordinary working folks…”

I would venture to say that your ‘ordinary working folks’ are labor unions which only comprise of about 12.3 % of the population, and you haven’t a clue of the many self-employed people that are being hurt in this economy in addition to your 10 % plus un-employment rate.

We know where you ‘stood’ for the ‘American people’ when those big union guys showed up at the white house (actually frequent visitors)  in January and came out with the special deals on deferring taxes on government unions’ policies until 2018. Most union people I know are the best paid and have the best benefits as it is already.

Obama invoked Natoma Canfield, whose insurance premiums became so unaffordable that she had to give up coverage. Canfield was diagnosed with leukemia on March 13, and now she is “racked with worry” about how she’ll pay medical bills, as well as concerned about her health,

If you would focus on the economy, and get oppressive government regulations  (state and Federal) policies out of the way, offer tax saving incentives to all business and workers, big and small, fix the smaller portions of health care, and fix medicare, we all would be in better shape.

The economy will pick up and more people will be able to afford some sort of insurance and people like Natoma Canfield will get help through medicare / medicaid which is there if someone goes on disability. This is probably what is going to happen for her anyway. I’m sorry for her diagnosis, but Mr. Obama, cut it with the sob stories.

While these things I mention here are the obvious day to day stuff and talking points, the thing I fear the most in addition to the cost of this underhanded, vote now, fix later bill, is the growth in size, and the control that our federal government will have over the rights of the citizenry, foisted upon them, to which there will be no return. The very form of government that our founding fathers feared.

Hey Al, you finally came out of hiding, it is amazing what the light of truth can do, as long as you continue to make your one world, socialist argument based on glaringly erroneous manipulated data, which was actually leaked and not stolen….

I conclude that you have no real reason to stand by this country to protect it, because what you are doing and propagating, is undermining our national sovereignty and security under the guise of helping the world and saving the planet, yet positioning yourself to fatten your wallet.

You are the one that proclaimed that the “debate is over” and yet, it just won’t go away, maybe all those other scientist that were censured, discredited and pushed aside, seems they knew what they were talking about. So much for that hockey stick.

By the way, where is the raw data from East Anglia?  Somehow it disappeared, how convenient.

You’re not the only one on the hook here, take a gander at three of your leftist buddies in Washington that at the moment are focused on another issue that seems miles apart, yet so much the same for a number of reasons.

OPR (Obama, Pelosi, Reid) are totally convinced that we need a new massive health care system. So much so that they continue to ignore the will of the American people and somehow also think that this country can even begin to pay for it, and yet continue to push for it. Let me remind you, that Americans say that jobs and the economy are the top priorities, and yet we’ve wasted almost a year with ‘health care legislation’.

So you Al, and OPR, continue down the tracks with blinders and earplugs, a socialist left leaning agenda, albeit different programs, but the same goals, a socialistic United States and world system that takes from one and gives to another, (stealing), creates a drone like, mindless mentality and encourages dependency and laziness.

The train is running fast towards the canyon without a bridge, the red light stop warnings are out, barricades are up, but irregardless what the facts are, and what the majority are saying, you all continue to drive at full speed ahead and don’t want to heed the warnings. You obviously don’t care, or you are so full of yourself, or both, it doesn’t matter.

Nancy, Harry, 2010 is here and you are running out of track, Barry, you are not far behind, and you Al can go back to your well lit mansion, get the servants to shovel the snow and be careful not to slip on the ice on the way in.

This is just way to much fun, especially in light of the whole global warming thing, the lefties  getting their beloved socialistic agenda iced, and Al Gore missing in action, he may be out on some working vacation, on a glacier, checking on some new facts to snow the world with.

It looks more like the revenge of abominable snow man in Washington D.C. with all that snow that they stole from the Canadians in Vancouver for the Olympics. Do you think we wouldn’t notice? The GOP probably snuck in George Bush with all his powers to close down D.C., you know he masterminded Katrina. I wouldn’t mess with him.

By the way, where did all that raw data at East Anglia go? No answer as to why scientist would destroy scientific data, they love data, but suddenly, POOF! it’s gone, funny how that works.

Now throw in the 2000 page Health Care bill and we can permanently put these two socialist agendas on ice for good.

Our fictitious character Garth in Wayne’s World, summed it all up in this 1992 classic comedy/ parody/ music hit movie, by stating  “We Fear Change”, when approached by Benjamin about changing their show. Those of us that fear change, in a traditional sense will probably never get anywhere, but then there is change that is harmful.

Change comes to us all in one form or another, sometimes by our own choice, sometimes not, it is the sometimes not, that we have a hard time dealing with and when we live in a country that we are able to vote our conscience, we sometimes find ourselves on the losing end of who or what was voted in, and we learn to live with it, to a point.

Thankfully our government is set up so we get another shot at changing what we don’t like at periodic intervals and if things go south, we have recourse. Here’s the change I fear if we remain on this present course. Here goes….

Out of control spending, (massive stimulus bill) and the thinking that throwing money at a problem is going to fix it, more spending coming if the Health Care bill were to pass, Cap and Tax (Trade), same thing, as it will punish industries and individuals that are already struggling and does nothing to promote economic growth.

By the way, the power hungry EPA has the authority to enforce Cap and Trade even if it does not pass, and they could have regulation over all bodies of water, as the term navigable was removed from the original mandate for the EPA and put into a new bill presented last fall. Now they are talking about a jobs bill in the works, which is just another stimulus spending bill in disguise. Even if the money in this bill goes where it is supposed to, it is only going to benefit labor unions and present government jobs, and these people already have the best wages and benefits as it is.

Lack of border security and the possibility of amnesty to millions of illegals, which goes against our present laws, is failing to protect American citizens, the Democrats would love to get their hands on this voter block. The porous border is a possible road for terrorists that want to enter our country and we need to know who is coming across, this is a change that needs to take place and lack of action by this administration is a change to fear.

I would also like to see a change in the arrogant, smug,  non listening, and demeaning, no care  attitude that that is characteristic of this administration, with Pelosi being the chief offender. With their push to pass Health Care so fast, they were just not listening to what most Americans want improvement in, which is the economy and jobs.

With all these so called good for the country things, it is definitely the wrong direction and this nearly total takeover of  private industries, (banks, Wall Street, Chrysler, GM, to name a few) and then want to control and monopolize the Health Care system, it is too much government intrusion and these are some of the reasons there is no growth economically. Ford has reported a profit and had refused a government handout.

It is really our sovereignty which is at stake here, all this erodes at our freedoms and puts us into a dependent upon government mentality (those that would let it happen) which takes away from individual motivation, personal integrity and drive. It promotes an attitude of not my responsibility which just perpetuates a no care and no motivation mindset, and takes away thinking for ourselves, which is the way the Leftists in power would like it.

The bggest change that I don’t like and alarms me the most is the ignoring and total disregard of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, darn it! those pesky documents that keeps us from progressing to whatever wonderful society socialism brings.

So, a classic scene takes place at the beginning of Wayne’s World, where Garth is getting his hair on his melon cut by the Suck Kut machine being demonstrated by a ‘sponsor’ in which Garth ends up Screaming “Turn it off, turn it off, you’re sucking my will to live!”

May our government not be the Suck Kut machine and suck the life out of us, sometimes it feels that way.

Let me guess, union or non-union workers needed here.
