The Hurry Up on Health Care

The biggest thing that bothers me is the hurry up and get it done and ramrod it through attitude, ie stimulus, and do it on the week ends to try to fool the American public that our Congress and Senate leaders are sacrificing their precious time to get such an “important” bill passed.

If it so important, and landmark, and necessary, and caring, and so on the right side of history, then take the time to get it right, and, oh by the way, how much is it going to cost? Why are you in such a hurry?

It is not going to be implemented until 2014 and yet the taxing begins as soon as it is signed, if it gets there.

Could it be that the Democrat’s castle is beginning to crumble? 61% of Americans don’t want this health care bill and the 2010 election cycle is approaching rapidly. Gee, let’s just shove it down their throats and see if they notice. We know you don’t want this to drag into the new year because you would have to face your constituents back in your home districts and it puts you closer to 2010 elections.

Here is a statement from Obama…

“I am absolutely confident that, if the American people know what’s in this bill and if the Senate knows what’s in this bill, that this is going to pass”. (Obama, 12/15/09).

On the contrary,

If the American people KNEW what was in this bill there would be more opposition to it in addition to the 61 % that is already there.

We also know Mr. Obama that you DO want cooperation across the isle, and transparency, and for Republicans to put aside their differences for the good of the people, did you discuss THAT in your 60 member Democrat Caucus? or any other sessions and sub-committees?

Funny how the Republicans have not been invited to the party.

And, if you think the American people should know what is in this bill, but don’t know, whose fault is that? Other than the big issues of the bill, it doesn’t sound like the Democrats know what is in the bill, OR they don’t really want to tell us. The truth is, you areĀ  really not letting on to what is in the bill and you know that most Americans will not approve of this.

I think you already know what would happen if most of us really knew what is in this bill.

Why are they trying to rush this health care bill through. I don't think anyone thinks that health care does not need to be reformed. They just need to do this the right way. Get the party politics out of it and do the right thing for the people. It doesn't have to be this way.

  3. obama's dealth panels will be the end of our health care
